We’ve also put together a quick guide composed of styling tips to help keep your wavy, curly, coily hair at its daily best.

    Type 2 hair type is full of body, climate dependent (Humidity=Frizz), and damage prone.

    Hair Care Tips

    • Always start with fresh clean hair
    • Deep condition and rinse with cold water to lock in moisture and reduce frizz
    • Moisturize with a leave in and then apply hair products

    This hair type straightens when wet and curls as it dries.

    Type 3 “S” shape may be a lower or upper case “S” or it may resemble a “Z”.


    Hair Care Tips

    • Use Deep conditioner every time you shampoo
    • Don’t use towels… Blot your hair with a towel instead of rubbing it to eliminate breakage
    • When styling use a leave-in conditioner and a wide tooth comb. This will reduce frizz in the hair

    Products for Type 3A

    Bigger loser curls so weather is a top concern.
    Gels to keep curls defined while fighting frizz is highly suggested.

  • Type 3B

    Tight Spiral Curls

    Very tightly curled and wiry.

    Type 4 is the driest of all hair types.

    Type 4A has a looser coil. Tresses have a spiral shape.


    Hair Care Tips

    • Cleanse gently. Creamy, sulfate-free shampoo, deep conditioners, natural oils, and moisturizing creams will work wonders with this hair type. Avoid mineral oils, petroleum oils and heavy waxes
    • Comb and detangle your hair when it’s wet and covered with conditioner. Always use a wide tooth comb, your fingers, or a hair pick to detangle

    Products for Type 4A

    Less Cuticle layers than type 3 so damage protection is a must

  • Type 4B

    Tight “Z”
